I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
